Overview....

The Company was established in 1983 as a pure RF design facility. We now offer a wide range of electronics design, EMC, test and low volume manufacturing services.

We have experience in areas as diverse as low frequency propagation research to a complete spread spectrum wireless design for production. Most of our work is centered on RF design but we can also offer assistance with all aspects of a project from feasibility to post production.

Our informal co-operation agreement with an EMC test house enables us to offer EMC and type approval consultancy for our clients' products. We are based in Essex close to the A12 and M25 and also provide services at clients' sites.

History....

Chelmerland Limited was established in 1983 to provide applied research and communications engineering consultancy services. Some of our projects are listed below:

Here is a recent case study of a design for a sub-system within a cable TV installers' meter.

The board shown is a 2.4GHz WLAN, PCMCIA sized radio which was designed to operate with the customer's existing proprietary networking system. This was mainly an RF project but included an embedded processor for housekeeping and synthesiser control. This design was completed in 1996.

We offer a range of services, which are applicable to most phases of a project, from concept to production. Through our association with a CAD/CAM provider, we have RF printed circuit (PCB) layout design capabilities. When required, we can supply drawings in Cadstar, Pads, Easy-PC or Autocad formats.
